Uzbekistan Ratifies Tripoint Border Agreement with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 November, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law “On the Ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Tajikistan on the Tripoint of State Borders of the Three Countries,” which was concluded on March 31, 2025, in Khujand.
The agreement establishes, at the international legal level, the coordinates of the point where the state borders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan converge, creating a clear legal framework for the further resolution of related territorial matters.
The ratification of the agreement marks an important step in the consistent work to complete the delimitation and demarcation of borders between Central Asian countries. This move strengthens regional cooperation and promotes the development of good-neighborly relations.
On 15 November, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan exchanged ratification instruments for the agreement. The ceremony took place in Tashkent with the participation of Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev.
