Uzbekistan Ranks 52nd in Global Quality Infrastructure Index GQII-2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan ranked 52nd among 185 countries in the latest Global Quality Infrastructure Index (GQII) 2025, the results of which were presented on 9 December 2025.

This result highlights the country’s significant progress in developing a national quality system necessary to support international trade and sustainable development.

The GQII, an innovative tool for measuring the development level of national quality infrastructure systems, is compiled by the consulting company Mesopartner with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the National Metrology Institute of Germany (PTB).

Uzbekistan demonstrated its strongest performance in the field of Accreditation, achieving an impressive 29th place globally.

In the area of Standardization, the country ranked 57th, reflecting active efforts to harmonize national standards with international norms.

The Metrology sector placed 72nd, indicating room for further improvement in ensuring the uniformity and accuracy of measurements.

The GQII 2025 report, which presents an updated analytical database based on publicly available data, is an important resource for policymakers and financial organizations.

It sheds light on emerging global trends linking quality infrastructure with international trade, sustainable development, and technological transformation.
