Uzbekistan raises tax rate for fuel consumption

The decision was adopted in line with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov “On forecast of main macroeconomic figures and parameters of State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2016”.

According to the document, the rate of tax for individuals for consumption of automobile fuel and diesel will grow by 45 soums – from 290 soums to 335 soums per liter.

At the same time, tax for consumption of liquefied gas rose by 30 soums – from 200 soums to 230 soums per liter, and compressed gas by 35 soums – from 240 soum to 275 soums per cubic meter.

The tax for consumption of automobile fuel is single for all territory of Uzbekistan.

The growth of tax will hike prices for automobile fuel. Currently, the price of a liter of Ai-80 gasoline is 2,030 soums, Ai-91 – 2,235 soums and Ai-95 – 2,460 soums and diesel – 2200 soums.
