Uzbekistan Railways, business discuss existing problems

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Palace of Culture of Railway Workers held an open dialogue with entrepreneurs on transport logistics issues. It was attended by representatives of the transport sector, experts from the transport prosecutor’s office and relevant organizations.

The event, which brought together representatives of more than 120 business circles, was organized in the format of an open dialogue. Entrepreneurs had the opportunity to ask questions of interest to them, share problems with them, and receive answers directly from competent specialists. A number of topical issues and actual problems were solved on the spot.

During the meeting, issues arising from export-import and transit cargo transportation were also discussed. Entrepreneurs also made their proposals, ideas on multimodal (combined) transportation, as well as the creation of additional amenities, the provision of preferences, the application of a flexible tariff policy.

By the end of the meeting, on the basis of the proposals of the businessmen, it was decided to develop a “Road Map” and in the future to quickly solve the emerging problems. It was also decided to organize such meetings on a regular basis.
