Uzbekistan Promotes Entrepreneurs via Digital Marketplaces

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 March 2026, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with business representatives and relevant organizations focused on developing digital trade and promoting Uzbek products on international marketplaces.

The event brought together representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, JSC Trade Development Company, and platforms such as Alibaba.com and Wildberries.

Participants discussed expanding sales of Uzbek products through both international and local marketplaces and exchanged proposals to improve support for entrepreneurs.

In 2025, the JSC Trade Development Company allocated 7.6 billion soms to support 82 business entities in promoting their products and placing them on digital platforms. During the meeting, special attention was given to enterprises in the electrical, light industry, and construction materials sectors.

Entrepreneurs proposed measures to increase support efficiency, including reducing marketplace fees, partially compensating costs, expanding subsidies for advertising, and providing practical and organizational assistance from the state for entering marketplaces.

Additionally, the creation of a unified cooperative supply chain was discussed, linking small and medium enterprises with large producers.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a concrete action plan based on participants’ proposals to further stimulate digital trade and promote Uzbek products in domestic and international markets.
