Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President’s resolution “On measures to further reduce bureaucratic barriers and the introduction of modern management principles in the activities of state bodies and organizations” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, starting from 1 January 2020:

- separate functions and powers of khokimiyats are transferred to the territorial divisions of the relevant government bodies;

- a number of functions and powers of khokimiyats are excluded;

- it is not allowed to demand 28 types of documents from state bodies and organizations from citizens, and their issuance by citizens' self-government bodies;

- separate interdepartmental collegial bodies are abolished (their list is given in this resolution) created by acts of the President and the Government.

In particular, according to the document, the function of khokimiyats to issue permits for transferring residential premises to non-residential categories is transferred to the departments of construction of districts (cities).

Also, the authority of khokimiyats, which envisages the adoption of decisions on the suspension of market activity, is excluded.

Starting from 1 January 2021, reporting and document circulation between state bodies and organizations, their structural divisions will be generated and carried out only in electronic form.
