The publication noted that implementation of the programme of localization of ready goods, spare parts and materials for 2015-2019 helped to expand volume and nomenclature of produced industrial products.
Within the programme, it is planned to implement 602 localization projects for US$5 billion and launch production of 1,225 highly demanded products, it added.
In nine months of 2015, Uzbekistan produced goods for 2.6 trillion soums, while import-replacement effect exceeded US$1 billion.
Uzbekistan launched production of 785 new products, including spare parts for compressor engines, motor oil, spare parts for excavators, energy saving lamps, refrigerators and freezers, etc.
Uzvinsanoat-holding, Tashkent plant for processing scrap and waste of non-ferrous metals, Uzeltekhsanoat, Uzbekyengilsanoat, Uzstroymateriali and other decreased imports for US$299.4 million in January-September 2015 due to inter-sectoral cooperation.
