Uzbekistan produces industrial products for 61.105 trln. soums in 2013

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan produced industrial goods for 61.105 trillion soums in 2013, which rose by 8.8%year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Machinery and metal processing (19.8% of total industrial output), fuel industry (15.8%), food industry (13.2%) and light industry (13%) accounted largest share in industrial output in 2013.

At the same time share of fuel industry fell 2.2 percentage points compared to 2012 and machinery and metal processing rose by 2.3 percentage points and light industry – 0.1 percentage points.

In 2013, the machinery and metal processing produced goods for 12.079 trillion soums (+21.1%), furl industry – 6.917 trillion soums (+4.9%), light industry – 7.955 trillion soums (+12.2%) and food industry – 8.059 trillion soums (+9.1%).
