Uzbekistan produces industrial products for 198.8 trillion soums in January-November
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, Uzbek enterprises produced industrial output worth 198.8 trillion soums in January-November 2018, which grew by 12.0% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The main factor of growth in total industrial production was an increase in manufacturing in the manufacturing industry by 10.0%, mining and quarrying - by 26.8%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 3.4%, water supply, sewage , waste collection and disposal - by 20.5%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-November 2018 made up 31.7 trillion soums, or 15.9% of the total industry.
Compared to the same period of last year, there was an increase in the extraction of crushed stone by 1.2 times, kaolin - by 1.2 times, gas condensate - by 11.1%, natural gas - by 6.7%. At the same time, there was a decrease in oil production by 8.9% and gravel - by 2.7%.
Manufacturing enterprises in January-November 2018 produced goods for 152.5 trillion soums. The growth rate compared to the corresponding period of last year made up 10.0%.
Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the share of high-tech industries in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 1.6% (1.9% in January-November 2017), medium-high-tech - 29.0% (21.8%), medium-low-tech - 30.0% (26.9%) and low-tech - 39.4% (49.4%).
Medium-high-tech manufactures of the republic made a significant contribution to the growth of manufacturing products - 7.6%, the growth rates of which compared to the same period of 2017 made up 30.6%.
In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing, repairing, assembling machinery and equipment, manufacturing cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products reached 18.7% (growth rates - 40.4% by January-November 2017); the share of enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products was 13.7% (10.1%), production of food, beverages and tobacco products - 13.6% (-4.9%), the metallurgical industry- 11.3 % (1.5%); enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 8.5% (2.8%).
The overhaul of the technological equipment allowed to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and to exceed the previous year’s production of potassium chloride (15.8% by January-November 2017), ammonium nitrate (9.9%), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (31.9%), superphosphates (67.6%), formaldehyde (1.4 times), mineral fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (2.2 times).
The implementation of a set of measures to localize the production of agricultural machinery supplied to agriculture also contributed to the growth of products of medium-high-tech industries of the republic. Compared with January-November 2017, large enterprises increased production: plows - 64.3 times, tractors - 3.9 times, grain harvesters - 11.0%.
The volume of production by enterprises of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning made up 12.8 trillion soums (6.4% of the total industry).
In this industry in January-November 2018, compared with the corresponding period of last year, the production, transmission and distribution of electricity, steam supply systems and air conditioning increased by 3.3%, and the production and distribution of gaseous fuels - by 6.3 %
The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal made up 1.9 trillion soums (1.0% of total industry).
Compared with the corresponding period of last year, there is an increase in recycled materials containing ferrous metals by 27.3%, recycled materials containing aluminum by 2 times, water treatment and distribution services by water pipelines - by 26.2%, services in removal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 29.9%.
As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, consumer goods production made up 75.7 trillion soums and, compared with January - November 2017, increased by 11.9%, the share in the total industry made up 38.1%.
Compared to the same period of 2017, in the structure of consumer goods in January-November of the current year, share of non-food products production grew from 63.7% to 68.2%.
In the structure of the production of food products, the production of wine-vodka products and beer was 7.5% (7.0% in January-November 2017).
In terms of regions, the largest share of small business was observed in Tashkent (73.3% of the total industry of the region), Namangan (69.1%), Jizzakh (65.2%) and Samarkand (51.8%) regions.
At the same time, the smallest share of small businesses was observed in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (16.4%), Navoi (15.2%), Tashkent (21.8%), Andijan (20.8%) and Kashkadarya (22.1%) regions.
