Uzbekistan produces construction materials for 3.38 trln. soums

Enterprises of construction materials industry of Uzbekistan produced products for 3.388 trillion soums in January-September 2015, which rose by 15.9% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The committee said that share of the industry in total production of industry of Uzbekistan reached 5.4%.
In the reporting period, the Uzbek enterprises increased production of marble, travertine, alabaster and articles from them- by 29.3%, kaolin - in 4.3 times, sheet glass - in 1.4 times, construction ceramic bricks (non-refractory) - 17.3%, ceramic roof tiles - by 6.7% and asphalt paving mixtures - by 8.0%.
The enterprises of the industry increased production of Portland cement - by 13.6%, gypsum - by 10.3%, gravel - by 7.8%, lime - by 41.7%, concrete - in 2.3 times, mortars and mixtures - in 2 times.
The largest volume of production of construction materials was observed in Navoi (20.7% of total industry) and Tashkent (20.4%), Ferghana (12.9%) regions and Tashkent city (11.3%).
Share of small businesses in total production of industry reached 50.9%. They increased production of goods by 28.6% year-on-year.
Currently, Uzbekistan has 5,040 enterprises of construction materials, of which 604 were created in 2015.
