Uzbekistan produces construction materials for 2.26 trln. soums

The State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said that the share of the industry in industrial production rose from 5.9% in January-June 2013 to 6.5% in the same period of 2014.

Large industrial enterprises increased production of glazed ceramic plates for ovens, floors and walls, paving slabs – by 38.3%; prefabricated elements and other products for buildings and structures of cement, concrete or artificial stone - 52.5%; building bricks and blocks of cement, concrete or artificial stone - 2.3 times; marble, travertine, alabaster and their products-3.0 times, etc.

The enterprises also increased production of Portland cement (+4.6%), cement clinker (+8.9%), crushed stone (+11.1%) and gypsum (+27.1%).
