Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Statistics Committee said that 45,497 tonnes of grapes were grown in January-June 2021, which is 5.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
High volumes of grape production were noted in dekhkan (personal subsidiary) farms – 24,000 tonnes, or 52.7% of the total production.
Among the regions, the largest share in the total volume of grape production fell on Surkhandarya region (30.1%). Also, a high share was noted in Kashkadarya (13.9%), Namangan (11.8%) and Bukhara (11.4%) regions.
