Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Statistics Committee reported that Uzbekistan produced 40.34 billion kWh of electricity in January - July 2021.

Compared to the corresponding period of last year, the volume of electricity production increased by 3.38 billion kWh or 9.2%.

Electricity production until 2021:

- in January – 6.42 billion kWh (growth rate - 6.0%);

- in January - February – 11.95 billion kWh (+4.3%);

- in January - March – 17.99 billion kWh (+6.1%);

- in January - April – 23.53 billion kWh (+8.5%);

- in January - May – 28.81 billion kWh (+9.0%);

- in January-June – 34.32 billion kWh (+9.1%) were generated.

In the total volume of electricity produced by enterprises for the production of electricity in the republic, Syrdarya region has a share of 22.9%, Tashkent region - 22.8%, Kashkadarya region - 19.3% and Navoi region - 15.7%.
