Uzbekistan produces 398,200 tonnes of sugar in Jan-Sep

Enterprises of Uzbekistan increase production of sugar by 41% in January-September 2015 compared to the same period of 2014.
According to the Association of Enterprises of Food Industry, production of sugar in Uzbekistan rose from 282,400 tonnes in January-September 2014 to 398,200 tonnes in nine months of 2015.
It is worth to mention that there are two enterprises on sugar production in Uzbekistan – Khorezm Shakar (in Khorezm region) and Angen Shakar (in special industrial zone “Angren” in Tashkent region). Each enterprise can produce up to 1,000 tonnes of sugar a day.
