Uzbekistan Plans Visa-Free Travel to 50 Countries by 2030 – “Uzbekistan–2030” Strategy
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan aims to expand opportunities for its citizens to travel internationally and simplify border-crossing procedures.
These goals are outlined in the updated “Uzbekistan–2030” Strategy, submitted for public discussion on the System for Assessing the Impact of Legislative Acts (SOVAZ) platform.
According to the document, by 2030 Uzbek citizens will be able to visit 50 countries without a visa. In 2026, this number stands at 37 countries, increasing to 42 in 2027, 45 in 2028, 48 in 2029, and reaching the target of 50 by 2030.
At the same time, the list of countries with simplified entry procedures is planned to expand from 45 in 2026 to 60 by 2030. In 2027, simplified entry will be available in 48 countries, in 2028 — 52, in 2029 — 56, and in 2030 — 60 countries.
The strategy also emphasizes regional cooperation. As part of strategic development of foreign policy, Uzbekistan plans to conclude at least three agreements with Central Asian countries, allowing citizens to cross borders freely using ID cards. Two such agreements are expected to be in place by 2026, laying a solid foundation for further expansion of regional mobility.
The “Uzbekistan–2030” Strategy aims to simplify international travel, strengthen regional ties, and create conditions for safer and more convenient border crossings for Uzbek citizens.
