Uzbekistan plans to set investment surcharge to wholesale price of natural gas

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan intends to establish an additional investment surcharge to wholesale selling price for natural gas, sold by Uztransgaz to automotive gas filling compressor stations (including legal entities, which possess gas-filling compressor stations on their balance sheets).

A draft resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures for additional financial support of Uzbekneftegaz for the period 2018-2019” was published on the portal for discussion of the regulatory legal acts.

According to the document, the size of the special investment premium will be 650 soums per cubic meter (not subject to taxation).

The document said that Uzbekneftgas, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the results of the first half of 2018 will make a proposal on possibility of further raising this special investment premium, taking into account economic feasibility.
