Uzbekistan plans to organize trade in precious metal ingots

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to organize trade of precious metal ingots.

The government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures to implement the investment project “Organization of the production of modern jewelry in the city of Tashkent ”.

The document notes that till 1 April 2019, the Ministry of Economy and other departments should develop proposals for organization of dimensional ingots at local enterprises.

They should also develop proposals for organization of trade in precious metal ingots through the territorial offices of the Central Bank and commercial banks with the aim of extensively using precious metal ingots for opening impersonal metal accounts - an investment tool that replaces convertible currency.
