Uzbekistan Plans to Invest Over 9.4 Billion Soums in Geological Exploration by 2030

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan plans to attract investments exceeding 9.4 billion soums in geological exploration by 2030.

The updated “Uzbekistan-2030” Strategy, presented for public discussion on the SOVAZ platform, envisions active investment in geological exploration to increase hydrocarbon reserves.

Total project funding will exceed 9.4 billion soums and will be implemented in stages: 4.96 billion soums in 2026, 5.96 billion soums in 2027, 7.15 billion soums in 2028, 8.22 billion soums in 2029, and 9.46 billion soums in 2030.

Funding will come from the state budget, the private sector, and foreign investments.

The Ministry of Energy has been designated as responsible for implementing the initiative, ensuring coordination of all activities and monitoring progress toward the set goals.
