Uzbekistan plans to introduce new mechanism for admission of children to schools

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will begin to introduce a new mechanism of admission of children into state educational institutions in 2019.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On additional measures to improve the system of public education management” on 5 September 2018.

The decree noted that, as of 1 March 2019, the mechanism of admission of children to state general education institutions through the Centers for Public Services or the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be gradually introduced.

Uzbek President instructed the Ministry of Public Education together with the State Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice to form a list of general education institutions in the context of districts and cities, which accept the children through the Public Service Centers or Single Portal of Interactive Public Services within two months.
