Uzbekistan plans to increase salaries of teachers

A draft resolution of the President "On raising the social status of teachers in the system of public education" was published on the portal for discussion of draft normative legal acts.

The draft resolution proposes to raise the salaries of teachers of senior and junior classes from the new academic year.

Teachers, whose pupils became winners of the Olympiads, will be rewarded with a bonus in the amount of 3 to 20 minimal sizes of salary.

The document also envisages launch of a program for the purchase of housing for teachers on the basis of preferential long-term loans.

Teachers will also have the opportunity to undergo internships in foreign countries.
