Uzbekistan Plans to Increase Exports to US$67 Billion by 2030
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan is targeting significant export growth as part of the updated Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy, submitted for public discussion on the System for Assessing the Impact of Legislative Acts (SOVAZ) platform.
The document outlines the key directions for the country’s foreign economic activity from 2026 to 2030, including increasing export volumes, expanding the number of exporting enterprises, raising the share of finished and high-tech products in foreign deliveries, implementing international standards, and promoting national brands on global markets.
According to the strategy, total exports are expected to grow from US$40 billion in 2026 to US$67 billion by 2030.
Exports are projected to reach US$45 billion in 2027, US$52 billion in 2028, US$60 billion in 2029, and US$67 billion by the end of 2030.
At the same time, the number of enterprises engaged in export activities is planned to expand. In 2026, there will be 7,700 such enterprises, increasing to 9,100 in 2027, 10,800 in 2028, 12,800 in 2029, and reaching 15,000 by 2030.
Special attention is given to increasing the share of finished and semi-finished products in exports. This share is expected to be 55% in 2026, 58% in 2027, 62% in 2028, 66% in 2029, and reach 70% by 2030.
Particular emphasis is placed on promoting Uzbek finished and high-tech products to European markets under the GSP+ system and other trade regimes, strengthening the country’s presence on the international stage.
The strategy also envisions widespread implementation of international standards in company operations. By 2026, 3,000 enterprises will adopt these standards, increasing to 3,500 in 2027, 4,000 in 2028, 4,500 in 2029, and 5,000 by 2030.
In addition, comprehensive support for national brands promoted abroad under the “New Uzbekistan — a Country of Competitive Goods” concept is planned. In 2026, 75 companies will receive such support, 92 in 2027, 134 in 2028, 168 in 2029, and 200 by 2030, actively representing Uzbek products internationally.
