Uzbekistan plans to create Ministry of Energy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan intends to create the Ministry of Energy.

This is stipulated by the presidential resolution “On measures to accelerate development and ensure the financial sustainability of the electricity industry” dated 23 October 2018.

The new ministry will be responsible for the whole range of issues of organizing and regulating the activities of the fuel and energy complex.

The head of Uzbekistan instructed the commission headed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov to submit a draft presidential decree on the establishment of the Ministry of Energy by 15 December 2018.
