Uzbekistan Participates in AI and Energy Forums in Abu Dhabi
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 2 to 6 November 2025, the international forums “ENACT Majlis” and “ADIPEC-2025” are taking place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, focusing on the implementation of artificial intelligence and the development of the energy sector.
The events bring together ministers and executives from leading global energy and IT companies, including a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamahmudov.
The forums focused on the application of artificial intelligence technologies in energy, modernization of electricity production and transmission processes, the establishment of data centers, and digital communication systems. Discussions also covered sustainable energy development, grid flexibility, innovative public-private partnership models, and the exchange of successful international experience.
As part of the forum, a ministerial roundtable on “Enhancing Energy Security and Resilience through Diversification” was held, where participants discussed key global energy priorities, including security, resilience, and diversification, with a focus on practical approaches to meeting growing energy demand.
During the events, the Uzbek delegation held meetings with UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Ahmad Al Jaber, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei, and executives from Masdar, AMEA Power, Etihad Waters, XRG, Global South Utilities, Siemens Energy, Honeywell Global Regions, Honeywell Process Solutions, SLB, and BP. Discussions focused on cooperation prospects in green energy and the oil and gas sector, reviewing achievements and development plans.
Special attention was given to joint projects with Masdar in Uzbekistan, including the commissioning of five solar power plants with a total capacity of 1,247 MW, a 500 MW wind farm, and a 63 MWh energy storage system.
A 300 MW solar photovoltaic plant is under construction in Kashkadarya region. During the forum, contracts were signed with Masdar for the construction of a 300 MW / 600 MWh energy storage system in Navoi region and with AMEA Power for two energy storage systems of 200 MW / 800 MWh each.
