Uzbekistan Outlines New Steps to Expand Exports of Construction Materials to the U.S. and Afghanistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In line with Presidential Decree PQ–365 of 1 December 2025, on the development of construction materials exports, the Association “O‘zsanoatqurilishmateriallari” held an online meeting with the participation of its leadership and representatives of local manufacturers.

During the session, the Association’s Chairman Ilyos Rahimov provided a detailed overview of ongoing efforts to promote Uzbek products in foreign markets, with a special focus on the United States and Afghanistan. Discussions covered compliance with international quality standards, logistics optimization, simplification of export procedures, and enhancing the competitiveness of Uzbek products in U.S. markets.

Particular attention was given to the establishment of a construction materials showroom in the Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif. The new demonstration center will allow Uzbek manufacturers to present their products directly to foreign buyers, secure contracts, and significantly increase export volumes.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants developed concrete recommendations for supporting manufacturers, enhancing export potential, and expanding the presence of Uzbek products in international markets.

The Association confirmed its commitment to continue systematic efforts to open new export directions, provide practical support to construction enterprises, and strengthen international cooperation.
