Uzbekistan opens new cement plant

The enterprise will use local products in production process. The project cost is US$40 million. Overall capacity of the plant is 1.2 million tonnes of cement a year.

The project is implemented in three stages. The first stage with the cost of US$17 million was implemented. The second stage will be completed by the end of 2017, which will allow to double cement production. The third stage will be realized in 2018, which will help to produce additional 700,000 tonnes of cement..

In the first two phases, cement will be produced with the use of a new technology – a vertical furnace. The third phase envisages the introduction of an even more productive line.

Karakalpak Sement is planning to export the part of cement.
