Uzbekistan opens consulate general in Aktau

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An opening ceremony of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan was held in Aktau (Kazakhstan).

The ceremony was attended by the head of Mangystau region, Serikbai Trumov and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev noted that the opening of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan will contribute to the expansion of economic relations between the two countries.

It was noted that the Mangistau region plays a key role in the development of inter-regional relations, an increase in passenger traffic and the expansion of exchange in the field of tourism and culture.

The district of the consulate general includes Aktyubinsk, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan and Mangistau regions of Kazakhstan (previously they belonged to the consulate general district in Almaty).
