Uzbekistan National Team Wins Another 10 Medals at the III CIS Games in Azerbaijan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan national team continues its successful performance at the III CIS Games in Azerbaijan. Over the past day, Uzbek athletes secured 10 medals: one gold, three silver, and six bronze.

The sole gold medal came from rowing in the 1500-meter junior (under-19) category, won by Zh. Turgunov and B. Mukhiddinov.

Silver medals were claimed by B. Khaitboev and L. Kuchkorov in the 1500-meter rowing event (U17), Ziyodbek Yuldashev in the 1000-meter kayak race (U20), and N. Reinwald with Sh. Khasanov in the 500-meter kayak event (U18).

Bronze medals were earned by the men’s 3x3 basketball team, Nurmuhammad Muminov in foil fencing, Shokhruh Khasanov in the 1000-meter kayak race (U18), Davlatjon Khamdamov in the 1000-meter kayak race (U16), Muhammadasiz Aripov in the 500-meter canoe event (U17), and M. Shcherbakov with D. Khamdamov in the 500-meter kayak event (U16).
