Uzbekistan National Team to Play Friendly Match Against Kuwait in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan national football team, preparing for the FIFA World Cup, will hold a friendly match against Kuwait in October.

According to the Uzbekistan Football Association, the game will take place at the Olympia Stadium in Tashkent and is scheduled to kick off at 18:00 on 9 October.

On 13 October, the team will play against Uruguay in Malaysia.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 across stadiums in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament will feature 48 teams for the first time.

This marks the first time in history that the Uzbekistan national football team has qualified for the final stage of the 2026 World Cup.
