Uzbekistan National Team Loses to Nigeria in Davis Cup World Group II Play-offs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan national tennis team has concluded its campaign in the Davis Cup World Group II play-offs after losing to Nigeria with an overall score of 1–3.

In the fourth match of the tie, Ilya Ignatov was defeated by Nigeria’s Daniel Adeleye in straight sets, 6:3, 6:4.

Earlier, the Uzbek team had also suffered a loss in the doubles match, which ultimately proved decisive in determining the outcome of the encounter.

After four matches, Nigeria emerged as the winner of the series and advanced to the next stage of the tournament, while the Uzbekistan team exited the competition at the World Group II play-off stage.
