Uzbekistan National Team Forward Igor Sergeev Joins Iran’s Persepolis

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan national team striker Igor Sergeev has signed a contract with Iranian club Persepolis. The club announced the transfer on its official social media pages.

Last season, Sergeev played for Tashkent-based Pakhtakor, where he finished as the top scorer of the Uzbekistan Championship with 20 goals.

The forward has made more than 80 appearances for the Uzbekistan national team. His career also includes playing experience in the domestic leagues of Uzbekistan, as well as in China, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, and Thailand.
