Uzbekistan MFA and ECO Discuss Prospects for Deepening Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 September 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov held talks with Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Asad Majeed Khan.

The parties discussed ways to improve the organization’s activities and further strengthen interaction within its framework.

Special attention was given to the promotion of initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan at ECO summits.

These include the adoption of the “Strategic Goals of Economic Cooperation – 2035”, the signing of the Trade Facilitation Agreement, and the establishment of a Digital Transport and Customs Agency of ECO.
