Uzbekistan loses to Japan in Davis Cup tie
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan could not book its place in play-off of World Group of Davis Cup after losing to Japan with the score 1:4 in the second round of the Asian/Oceania Group I.
In the third day, Denis Istomin faced Kei Nishikori and lost the match 6-7(5), 7-5, 6-4, 6-3. Sarvar Ikramov suffered 7-5 and 6-0 defeat to Go Soeda.
In the result, Japan moved to -off of World Group, while Uzbekistan will play in the Asian/Oceania Group I in 2012.
