Uzbekistan liquidates 243 rural medical points
The decision was adopted in line with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures on further optimization and improve efficiency of activities of rural medical points” from 5 March 2014.
The resolution was approved for further improving reforms in healthcare, improve system on organization of preliminary medical-sanitary aid in rural areas, quality of medical services in rural areas and activities of doctors and medical personal.
In the result of optimization, number of rural medical points in Uzbekistan will fell from 3,201 units to 2,958 units, the document said.
According to the resolution, the doctors of general practice of the rural medical points, located in remote areas, will receive special 25% rise to their salaries.
The Government also adopted decision to increase the maximum size of wage rise for continues work for nurses of the rural medical point from 20% to 40%.
