Uzbekistan Leads in Remittances from Kazakhstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In September 2025, a total of 71.6 billion tenge was transferred abroad from Kazakhstan.
Compared to August, the volume of international remittances increased by 1.6%. Uzbekistan remained the primary destination, receiving 25 billion tenge, accounting for 34.9% of the total.
Russia ranked second with 20.3 billion tenge (28.4%), followed by Türkiye with 11.3 billion tenge (15.8%).
The growth in remittances to Uzbekistan and Russia is attributed to active labor and family ties, as well as an increase in the number of citizens temporarily working abroad, the report noted.
In the reverse direction, Kazakhstan received 20.4 billion tenge during the same period. The largest sources of remittances were Russia (4.7 billion tenge), the United States (3 billion tenge), and Uzbekistan (2.6 billion tenge).
