Uzbekistan Leads at the V Para-Asian Youth Games in Dubai

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The V Para-Asian Youth Games are currently underway in Dubai, where the Uzbekistan national team has won its first medals and taken the lead in the overall medal standings.

To date, the country’s athletes have secured 40 medals: 19 gold, 13 silver, and 8 bronze.

Iran is currently in second place with 16 gold, 17 silver, and 20 bronze medals, while Kyrgyzstan holds third place with 7 gold medals.

Uzbek athletes have achieved particular success in para powerlifting, winning 13 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze medals.

In para arm wrestling, the team earned 3 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals.

In para swimming, Uzbekistan’s athletes contributed 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal to the country’s tally.
