Uzbekistan Launches the Tenth Season of the International Technovation Girls Program

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Enrollment has opened in Uzbekistan for the tenth season of the international educational program Technovation Girls, aimed at developing technological, entrepreneurial and leadership skills among schoolgirls.

Girls aged 8 to 18 from all regions of the country are invited to participate. No prior experience or technical background is required, and participation is free of charge. Registration is open until 20 February 2026.

The project is implemented by the non-governmental organization Tech4Impact in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center for the Development of Digital Education, and Yandex Uzbekistan.

As part of the program, participants will develop mobile applications, artificial intelligence projects and startup solutions focused on addressing pressing social challenges, ranging from environmental and climate issues to combating bullying and supporting people with disabilities.

Throughout all stages of the program, schoolgirls receive guidance from experienced mentors and experts from the fields of IT, business, design and education.

The training lasts three months and covers the fundamentals of programming, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and design thinking, as well as the development of teamwork and public speaking skills. In the current season, special emphasis is placed on AI technologies and startup business model development.

Knowledge of English is recommended for effective participation.

Most of the program is delivered online, ensuring access for schoolgirls from across the country. In addition, offline trainings and workshops are planned in Tashkent, Andijan, Karshi, Namangan, Nukus and Fergana.

For the third consecutive year, Yandex Uzbekistan is providing practical expert support as a program partner. Company specialists serve as team mentors, conduct expert sessions and help participants refine their project ideas.

The season will also include a series of educational events under the AI Week initiative, dedicated to modern artificial intelligence tools and their application in project-based work.

After registration, participants form teams of two to five members and select a mentor. Project presentations and an award ceremony are scheduled for May.

In addition to the main category, special partner awards are предусмотрены. Teams that advance to the international final will have the opportunity to present their projects at the global stage of the competition in India, competing among the world’s top 15 teams.
