Uzbekistan Launches Pilot Project to Strengthen Public Service Capacity

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has launched a pilot project to improve the effectiveness of its civil service in partnership with the Korea Institute of Public Administration (KIPA), the Agency for Public Administration Efficiency said on Monday.

The program is being implemented jointly with the Agency for Public Administration Efficiency under the President of Uzbekistan and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Its goal is to strengthen professional skills among civil servants and raise the quality of government operations.

As part of the initiative, authorities will introduce an HR certification system to assess and recognize key professional competencies of government employees. Pilot ministries will also conduct job-analysis studies.

The project includes developing methodological materials, holding training sessions, and organizing overseas study visits aimed at improving practical skills within the civil service workforce.
