Uzbekistan Launches Overseas Trading Platform in Afghanistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched an overseas trading platform for the country’s Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, the agency announced following the national and international “Imam Abu Hanifa” exhibition held in Kabul on 17–23 November 2025.
The initiative was implemented with the participation of Afghanistan’s Ghazanfar Bank. According to the Chamber, the platform allows payments for goods sold by Uzbek exporters at exchange auctions to be transferred directly to designated accounts at Ghazanfar Bank.
Exporters gain unrestricted access to these funds once shipments cross the Afghan border. The system provides guaranteed settlements, faster and transparent procedures, and a secure partnership environment.
The Chamber noted that the platform is expected to boost exports by Uzbek companies and expand trade with Afghanistan. Domestic exporters were encouraged to utilize the new platform for operations in the Afghan market, highlighting its convenience and enhanced security.
