Uzbekistan Launches Online Service for Submitting Passenger Customs Declarations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan has announced the launch of a new service allowing passengers to submit customs declarations online. Travelers can now fill out their declarations through a mobile application or use special info kiosks installed at border checkpoints.

The mobile application is designed for simplicity and ease of use. After entering personal and passport information, most fields are automatically populated, significantly reducing the risk of errors typical of manual processing. Additionally, users can quickly enter information about mobile devices by scanning IMEI barcodes.

For passengers without access to a smartphone or the internet, info kiosks will be available at border posts, along with areas providing free Wi-Fi. This ensures that anyone wishing to submit a declaration electronically can do so.

The application is available for Android and iOS devices and has already been published on Play Market and the App Store. Initially, the service is being implemented at Tashkent International Airport, and starting from 1 November, it will be available at all customs points across the country.

The Customs Committee notes that the transition to online declarations will speed up border control, improve convenience for citizens, reduce paperwork, and make the process more transparent and secure.
