Uzbekistan Launches Expert Council for Out-of-Court Resolution of Tax Disputes

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan hosted the inaugural meeting of the newly established Expert Council, created to facilitate out-of-court resolution of tax disputes.

The event brought together representatives of government bodies, including the Business Ombudsman, the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Ministries of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Justice, the tax and customs committees, as well as members of the business community.

The Council was established under the Presidential Decree of 11 July 2025 and operates based on regulations approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on 24 October 2025.

During the meeting, participants discussed problematic cases, including the activities of Central Azia Chemicals LLC in Angren, and approved the Council’s operational regulations.

Following the session, recommendations were developed for the prompt and lawful resolution of tax disputes, along with proposals for improving legislation and addressing existing gaps.
