Uzbekistan Launches Development of National AI Concept in Education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan held a high-level consultative meeting on the National Concept of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education, regarded as a key step in the country’s digital technology development.
The event brought together representatives from relevant government agencies, international organizations, and the private IT sector.

Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Technologies and UNICEF, the meeting focused on prospects for implementing AI in education, global trends, and national priorities.

Discussions were conducted within the framework of a Presidential Decree adopted in October 2025, which sets the following goals: launching over 100 AI projects by 2026, establishing 15 scientific laboratories in universities, and attracting investments exceeding US$1 billion by 2030.

During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and UNICEF. The document formalizes strategic cooperation in digital development, innovation, and education, with a focus on children’s interests.

The meeting officially marked the start of the joint development of the National AI Concept in Education.
