Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan: New interstate docking station launched

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A new interstate docking station in Syrdarya region has been commissioned today.

All conditions, including the implementation of border, customs and other types of control at the railway section, which crosses the state border, are created at the “Tashkent Regional Railway Junction” of the interstate docking station.

It should be noted that today Uzbekistan cooperates with neighboring states (including with Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan), using a total of about 20 railway “gates”.

Until today, there existed the interstate docking stations Keles and Karakalpakstan. From now on, cargo sent to the southern regions of Kazakhstan will be carried out through a new interstate docking station. At the same time, for freight from neighboring countries, transit will be provided by the railways of Uzbekistan.
