Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan hold talks on border demarcation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 June 2018, the Government delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan held 5-day negotiations on demarcation of Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan State border, in Tashkent.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during the negotiations, the sides considered the results of field surveys conducted in some sections of the State Border.

As a result of the negotiations that are being held since 2003, the Protocol was signed. In the document, the parties emphasized the importance of speeding up the completion of demarcation and final legal registration of Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan border.

The meeting traditionally took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
