Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a Law “On Accession of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Protocol on the Prohibition of the Use of Asphyxiating, Poisonous or Other Similar Gases and Bacteriological Products (Geneva, on 17 June 1925)”.

This Protocol is a document confirming and supplementing the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons and on Their Destruction, signed on 10 April 1972 in the cities of Moscow, London and Washington.

To date, 142 countries of the world have joined this Geneva Protocol, including Armenia, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan from the CIS countries.
