Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 October, in the city of Verona (Italy), within the framework of the 12th Eurasian Economic Forum, the Uzbek-Italian business forum Uzbekistan-Italy: Joint Projects Aiming for the Future and G2B, B2B meetings with the participation of business circles of the two countries were held.
Speakers from the Italian side emphasized the positive dynamics of economic growth in Uzbekistan, welcomed the efforts of the government of our republic to liberalize various sectors of the economy, create the necessary conditions for foreign investors.
In his speech, Luigi Iperti emphasized that increasing trade, enhancing investment cooperation and developing bilateral cooperation are the three main areas for further development of trade and economic relations between Italy and Uzbekistan.
During the event, the participants were acquainted with the large-scale economic reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, measures taken to liberalize the economy and the foreign exchange market, improve the business environment, support the business, protect the rights and legitimate interests of small businesses and private entrepreneurship, increase the investment attractiveness of the country's economy, and also conditions for foreign investors.
Also during the forum, investment opportunities and export potential of Uzbekistan, the advantages of joint cooperation and the prospects for further promotion of trade and economic partnership between the two countries were presented.
It was also noted that the Uzbek-Italian business forum will create an opportunity for the exchange of experience and views between the business circles of Italy and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The parties emphasized that deepening relations between Italy and Uzbekistan meets the long-term interests of both countries.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Italy, Otabek Akbarov, expressed confidence that it is the interactive format that will help representatives of the two countries to get to know each other better and will become an indicator of the success of such meetings, and will also contribute to the formation of even more trusting relations between business representatives from Italy and Uzbekistan.
The business circles of the two countries in the B2B format discussed prospects for the further development of Uzbek-Italian trade and economic cooperation, including an exchange of views on enhancing partnerships between enterprises of Uzbekistan and Italy.
Countries also intend to develop cooperation in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors, in construction, tourism and in the field of high technology.
