Uzbekistan is invited to the 24th OPCW conference

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 September 2019, the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Dilyor Khakimov visited its Special Laboratory and Material Repository in Rijswijk city, the Netherlands.

The Uzbek side became acquainted with activities of the laboratory, its technical capabilities and personnel. In particular, representatives of the OPCW spoke about the existing capabilities of the laboratory for the analysis of chemicals.

It was noted that, in addition to fulfilling its direct functions, the laboratory also organizes training courses for representatives of the states parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention, to which 193 states have joined.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, at the event, the Uzbek side was invited to participate in the 24th conference of the OPCW member states, which will be held on November 25-29 this year in the Hague.
