Uzbekistan, Iran Discuss Regional Security and Diplomacy
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 1 April, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bahtyor Saidov, met with Mohammad Ali Eskandari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan, to discuss regional security and diplomatic cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the current regional situation, emphasizing that any further escalation could have serious humanitarian and security consequences.
Minister Saidov reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s consistent stance that all disputes should be resolved solely through peaceful means, dialogue, and diplomatic channels.
The discussion underscored the commitment of both nations to maintain stability and strengthen international cooperation in the region.
