Uzbekistan Introduces Visa-Free Entry for U.S. Citizens Starting from 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 1 January 2026, citizens of the United States will be able to visit Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 30 days. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on 3 November.
According to the document, this measure aims to create favorable conditions for the further development of trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations between the two countries, as well as to stimulate tourist exchanges.
It should be noted that since 2021, U.S. citizens aged 55 and over have already been allowed to enter Uzbekistan visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism purposes.
Earlier, in May of this year, a presidential decree on significantly increasing tourist flows included an instruction for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to begin negotiations with the U.S. side on simplifying visa procedures for Uzbek citizens traveling to the United States.
