Uzbekistan Introduces New Strategic Planning System
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree “On Measures for the Organization and Effective Implementation of a Strategic Planning and Development System Based on New Approaches,” aimed at improving the efficiency of state policy.
According to the decree, the monitoring of strategic plan implementation will be conducted through the Digital Strategic Planning and Development Platform.
Responsible authorities will regularly input up-to-date data and supporting documents for each performance indicator.
Based on this information, a ranking of state bodies will be compiled according to the key indicators of national-level strategic documents, which will be taken into account by the Agency for Management Efficiency when forming the national activity rating.
The platform will also oversee the approval of draft regulatory acts: any unjustified expenditures in development programs for sectors, industries, and regions will not be approved by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
Proposals for regional development will be prepared by the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms in cooperation with the “Reform Headquarters.”
