Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Cabinet of Ministers has approved Resolution No. 750 on 28 November 2025, establishing a new procedure for determining the environmental category of vehicles and issuing special eco-stickers. The measure aims to enhance environmental safety and reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
Under the new system, a vehicle’s environmental category is assigned based on the manufacturer-certified emission class. Vehicles will be classified into green, yellow, or red categories according to their environmental impact.
Categories for gasoline and gas (CNG/LPG) vehicles:
Euro-2 and above — “Clean”
Euro-0, Euro-1 — “Medium”
Categories for diesel vehicles:
Euro-4 and above — “Clean”
Euro-3 — “Medium”
Euro-0, Euro-1, Euro-2 — “Harmful”
Vehicles automatically classified as “Clean”:
Hybrid vehicles
Vehicles running on alternative fuels
Vehicles younger than three years
Eco-stickers will be issued by the Traffic Police (UBDD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during vehicle registration or re-registration. Owners can also obtain stickers voluntarily through the official UBDD website or the my.gov.uz portal.
Eco-stickers are permanent and remain valid throughout the vehicle’s lifetime.
